TICKET TOUTS SCALPERS

57

By PAPA-BEAR

Ticket touts

scalpers shouting

'Any spare tickets, any spare tickets.'

marching around

up and down

looking for punters

to buy and to sell.

Quick profit merchants

in saggy baggy clothes

looking like

they have no homes

pacing up and down

shouting out

approaching passer by

'Selling tickets'

asking people

who move away

from this shady looking creep

who never stopped

just moved on.

Odd way to make a living

buying tickets

then up the prices

trying to sell them.

Voice calls out from in the cue

to wind them up

'Just  released 200 more tickets'

touts and scalpers

not amused

move away

message heard

but they stay around

irritating men

like flies around a piece of food

they will stay

until its dead and gone,

touts and scalpers

relics of history

have a trade

that lingers on

no matter what the law

decides is wrong.

Outside The Albert Hall I saw and heard about 4, reminded me of Del boy, one even had a cloth cap. They were buying £64 tickets for £35 of silly punters. Hope they sold none greedy spongers.
