Today never knows

what tomorrow may bring

yet yesterday always regrets it has been,

three if's

that shadow our every move

alter the way our lives unfold.

if I had,

all because today never knows

and tomorrow is so pompus

it only boasts,

while yesterday hides

from I told you so

the three if's that

alter the way our life unfolds.

Far be it for me

to suggest a better way

ban all clocks and diaries from this day

throw the dam if's

throw them away.

Today is sufficient

for all we have

we do not need to know what tomorrow may bring.

Then when it is past

suffer no regrets

yesterday will never

come again.
