MEOW ITS A DOG'S LIFE

They call him Dog

but he is a cat

just that he barks

and chases this and that,

confuses all

the local dog's

who are lost for barks

as it seems

quite absurd.

Leaves them all

in confusion

not sure if they should  be

woofing or meowing.

Dog is not complaining

of his claim to fame

just a bit difficult

when out on the town

with the ladies,

as he talks to them

so sweet

they go hurrying

off to some

safe retreat.

Then there are those days

when a good meow

is what he would like to say

but only woof

comes through his jaw.

So Dog the cat

sits in charge

as dogs avoid him

ill at ease

keeping their woofs

to themselves

in case their owners

think they are

someone eles.
