DO YOU EVER GET UP IN THE MORNING THINKING IT'S TIME FOR BED
64
Now I do not expect you to understand
yet out there I am sure you can
explain to me why I wake up yawning
thinking it is time to head back to bed again.
Now I have not lost the plot
or irrational by nature
just find it so misleading
to wake up in a tired state
and unable to read my newspaper.
I sit there yawning one after another
trying so hard to stay awake
for which no end of coffee
imbibed one after the other
are able to do the trick.
Just yawn upon yawn
that is all that arrives
along with the flickering closing of the eye's,
I have to get ready
head into town
before I give in
and lay my head down.
Oh there it is that tempting bed
and here is a yawn
I knew this I would dread,
I am giving in
goodbye all reason
fair well that trip into town
I have no choice as another yawn comes around
I shall have to give in
and lie down.

I enjoy this one and it's nicely written. Sometimes if I stay in bed just a few more minutes after waking up, I'll be more awake than if I don't. Also, it might help if I go to bed earlier than 2 a.m. or later! LOL :-)
You got my votes and have a great day! :-)
yeah, i do that most of the time...upon waking at four a.m i slept again thinking i could make an extension...thenk if i'll wake up at 5 am then i'll sleep again planning to wake up at 5:30...the end result is tardiness...lol...you put this in a funny cute way...
LOL absolutely. Did that this morning actually! Great hub, voted up and funny!
LOL--you're treading on my"out of zone" world! I have all kinds of excuses: I didn't go to sleep until 3 or 4 a.m., because I got into a good book, was writing, on phone w/friends/family--couple of times even other people like me who got a wrong number. One of those lasted 45 min! And I think a lot of us do dream solutions, hubs, etc. No wonder we're all yawning! (and those mattress commercials are a joke!) With you all the way--what are our time differences? Oh--CAN'T leave out the 1,000-word picture! Oh, if only! Love the hub! Up,funny, reminds me I'm not alone out here!

ha i wake up tired all the time. it is just plain silliness. i think im lacking protein and iron in my diet so that could be the explanation. maybe the reason you wake up so exhausted is something else but im sure there is a reason. stress? lack of sleep?? lack of REM?
